Tuesday 29th December - What small DFW things have you done today!?!

    big spend day for me today as its dd day lol

    - checked banking online and put money back in where I overspent a little at xmas :o
    - took dd to get her xmas pressie of a new laptop in the sales - also bought updated microsoft office :o Laptop was a good price though imo.
    - updated all spreadsheets and prepared new ones for 2010
    - used up some xmas left over food for tea and frozen some other bits and pieces
    - watching xmas dvd's for entertainment
    - updated sig (not v exciting but happy its done)
    - read news online
    - checked for freebies and comps to enter

    and thats about it. glad festivities are over. Tree down and going up to attic, cards been put in box for next years gift tags, lots of xmas food frozen :D Now I know there is new year celebrations to come but I dont really bother with that. Wish the snow would go away, been 2 weeks now and I think I am developing frostbite :cool:

    Afternoon all!
    Hope everyone is well and keeping warm - it's gone freezing again here!

    Today ...
    • Walk dog x3 for free exercise (x2 done)
    • Hoover and dust whole house - done
    • Go swimming - went and used my SU card on the off chance there was a discount and it cost the grand sum of £1:j
    • Start uni assignment
    • Watch 102 dalmations with the dog - it's so funny when he talks to the dogs on the telly!
    • Stick to menu plan and have sausage casserole for tea using reduced sausages I got on Xmas Eve and froze (55p for 6 organic free range posh ones! Quorn ones for me of course!)
    • Spend no more cash and fill in spending diary
    • Have a nice bath later using Xmas pressie smellies
    • Start shopping list for next week
    • Check banks and move £50 into savings account
    • Do any surveys that come (just one so far)

    Today i have/will -

    Paid in cheques
    Went sales shopping but only bought things i needed!!
    Ate more of the christmas left-overs
    Checked online bank accounts
    Transfered money into savings account
    Completed online surveys
    Took items back to Next for a refund
    Advertised unwanted stuff on freecycle
    Making a pile/list of stuff to Ebay
    Put spare change in sealed pot

    Thats about it for the time being :T
    Saving my pennies for my wedding on 10th August 2013! :D :j

    Had another poorly turn and been back to dr/hospital again but feeling better this afternoon.
    I must be well because tonight I am going to see John Barrowman in panto - as recommended by Bagpuss. Will take own sweets drinks etc
    Will eat at home first

    first time for me posting on one of these threads to, am hoping it will help keep me motivated

    today i have...
    - had a NSD
    - cleaned living room and kitchen...and found £2!
    - tea is in slow cooker, made with stuff i already had in
    - went to my mums for lunch
    - done my internet banking
    - typed a letter to O2 offering a £120 full and final settlement for a £190 debt, maybe a long shot but if they agree they i can pay it straight away. I must must post this tomrrow.

    and later on i will...
    - put a load of washing on
    - start to organise DDs clothes as she's grown out of so many of them and they take up a lot of wardrobe space.

    Today I gave away a VHS video player, saving myself the petrol to take it to the tip (not entirely a saving as have a pile of other carp to take to the tip) but great to have a bit less clutter around and eco friendly to know it isn't in landfill.

    I used my university card to get a student discount on some extra thermals for my OH in millets, saving me £3.
    Debt at highest: £8k. Debt Free 31/12/2009. Original MFD May 2036, MF Dec 2018.
