bundly - sorry you won't be returning to this thread. This must be a really difficult dilemma niggling away at the back of your mind and it's right that you should want time and a range of options to enable you to make a decision that you feel really happy and comfortable about.
If you are to find the right female who ticks all your boxes, it may mean widening your social scene to give you an opportunity to meet the type of people who might fulfil those conditions. Possibly getting involved in some kind of voluntary activity with younger people who will be around to benefit would help widen your choice.
I understand how you feel about big charities but are there any activities going on in your local area with which you feel a certain resonance? Those preserving open spaces and wildlife? Local animal sanctuaries? Your local Royal British Legion branch? You don't have to donate to the "big boys". Often small local charities do tremendous things to help their local communities which are able to make a big difference to peoples' lives. Good luck in whatever you do. I hope you find a solution you are happy with.0
