Is my laptop wireless ?

Absolutely, upping the ante on the Ram is a great (and economical) way to enhance performance
I think there is something wrong with you. GunJack already covered that aspect and I added price examples.
Is this yet another thread where you just post for the sake of posting, with absolutely no technical advice of which to add?
You don't need to reply, as I already know the answer.
Where is the ignore function on the board? I could do without reading your inane postings.
Found it....you're gone.0 -

You best take a look at your own 'advice' :eek:Is this yet another thread where you just post for the sake of posting, with absolutely no technical advice of which to add?
(Danish indeed) :rolleyes2
Oh yes, and all is fine with 'Donnie' as the below confirms (directed at another poster):I think there is something wrong with you
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=28203947&postcount=26Since you've taken eight months to finally take some affirmative action, I shouldn't hold out much hope of you actually solving it, including taking it back to PC World

Yes, but for how long 'Donnie'....till you shoot yourself in the foot:D0 -
You can simply plug an Ethernet lead in the side of it an use it as a wired device.
I'm not sure from your post if you thought it HAD to be a wireless connection.
sorry , am currently using mobile broadband dongle and you can imagine how slow that is.
Have sorted virgin broadband and wanted to use my laptop throughout the house ( lads room etc) and have never used a router before .The truth shall set you free.....................0 -
My laptop is an Advent 7081 and when I check on the connection properties i can find "set up wireless network "
Can I take it to be wireless ?
That message is simply intrinsic to the operating system; it would be there in the Connection Properties regardless of whether your laptop was wireless enabled or not.0 -
can we PLEEEZZEEE stick to trying to help the OP without turning more threads into slanging matches....please guys

Absolutely agree, but that might be very difficult for a particular (im)poster as he goes around calling other posters 'Idiot' (his own diction). See his posts (links) above. He then surreptitiously posts abusive threads (see above), deletes (or attempts to) those same threads, but unfortunately for him they are already quoted and re-quoted.can we PLEEEZZEEE stick to trying to help the OP without turning more threads into slanging matches....please guys

Am getting a router from Virgin and want to know if I need a wireless card (G or N ?) or if my laptop is wireless enabled

Thanks :money:
AFAIK 802.11n wireless cards are backwards compatible to connect to 802.11g routers, but they will be connected at G, and have no benefits of N (speed/distance etc,).
