    Ta. I missed that.
  • By my calculation, isn't this just £3.19, rather than £32?

I'm in a similar position, FD fixed at 5.15. I've been stoozing into the offset, but maybe I should be looking at other avenues too, especially as mrs OO doesn't have any income, or savings

Whether stoozing is worth it and how much it's worth depends on how you use the money. I made enough over the last tax year to pay all of my living expenses for the year. But that was with high risk emerging markets funds and won't be repeated this year. And definitely not the sort of thing most stoozers should be doing.

I've stoozed so much in the past 3 years, I'm struggling to find a card I can get now.

The MBNA stable is out, as are RBS, HBOS, M & S and Tesco.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Is Egg MBNA?

Egg is Citi - full list of card brands and issuers here http://www.stoozing.com/cards.htm

Santander could be your next option. No repeats on your existing cards?

Thanks for the prompt response and the link!

I've just had a repeat on my Halifax card. I stooze to help offset my mortgage so the BT fees don't make it worth while and I need to pay off £5k next month. I'll investigate the list later.....I'm so used to having a card I never use cash at all....a bit like the Queen lol.
  • I got my credit report recently and noticed that some accounts now, instead of the usual 00000000000000 type report, have a monthly breakdown of balance, payment, closing balance and, crucially, a promotional rate indicator at the end.

The first thing that came to my mind was - this is to spot stoozers.... am I being paranoid?

Not paranoid, it's been going for nearly 2 years now IIRC. There's also an indicator showing if you're making minimum payments. If concerned about the min payment flag, just pay an extra £1 per month.

I've recently got a tesco cc with a 5k limit and 0% on purchases for 12 months but I don't know how to access it for stoozing. Any advice please? TIA

    Hi mrs T

    http://www.tescofinance.com/personal/finance/finance/creditcards/index.jsp

If it's the one above, it's a slow stooz card. Use it for all your monthly spending until you reach the £5K credit limit, pay the minimum repayment each month by direct debit and put the difference into the best instant access savings account you can find. At the end of the 12 months just pay the balance off from your savings account and your profit will be what you've made in interest on the savings account.
