Come on Bob, you know you'd hate it if you had nothing to complain about ;)

I'm not sure if you would get anything from the railway for the damaged goods as although it happened on their property, it wasn't their fault. You might get some vouchers though like they do if you complain about your train being cancelled when it is their fault - that might be enough to cover a new flask.

Hope you can get your card back okay and there are no more problems there.
Stomach okay now? And how's the knee?

Sorry for the ambush with the fund queries but thought it best to just put it out there.

Thanks very much for all the info Malc. I was wondering if one of you would reply- :D
Have to say that i have received very good service from your company and have had little cause to complain. I will certainly look into all the plans and see which best suits our need at the moment. It is important to my budget that the price for the DD doesn't fluctuate.

    Hi Bob

Glad the info was of interest.

I know it might be a pain, but one way of keeping a check on your account is by taking regular meter readings.

If your payments are now ok and the usage is fairly constant then it is unlikely we will try and change your Direct Debit unless our prices change.

Any major fluctuations in usage will be a good indicator of a possible need to review your payments.

Have you registered with our website? If so, there is a useful tool on there called the energy tracker. Once you have been registered for a while, you will be able to see your usage pattern on a graph. Personally, I find this really helpful in seeing how my energy needs are changing.

Thanks also for the kind words about the service you have received. Give me a shout if you need any more info as always happy to help. :)

I would say that is very true:p:rotfl::rotfl:

Stomach, knee and everything else ok:D Card back safe and sound - check

Moans for the day- err none:D Except i have quite a lot of work, so juggling is in order to maximise income:D:D:D:D:D:rotfl:

I thought that might be the case re the flask- but being a good MSE'r i will try anyway.:p

Oh and i remembered my butties today- yes it is northern slang for sandwiches- we also like gravy with chips:D:rotfl::rotfl:

I am still thinking re DD2 and i am inclined, once i know i have the extra income secured to use that and replace two weeks later. I am still loathe to do it though.:o

I can see it makes sense- is just a dilemma.

Mr.B a happy bunny today as he has felt a huge relief lifted off his shoulders- i suppose me no longer nagging also helps.:D Well i have laid off this week and i am letting the whole concept of "proper" budgeting sink in. He is writing everything down and has re negotiated with Capital one- so still not paying interest. I think the most telling bit hit home, about how much he was spending keeping the car on the road and just how much it hurt our pockets financially and emotionally.
I know i have a car- but it cost a third of his:o is far more economical and at the moment costs me about £60 a month after i claim back entitled expenses- i offset it against the car. That figure fluctuates when i am not working during hols- but my petrol then goes down. So i hope to be neutral when car paid off. Does that make sense?

I already am registered Malc- and i have used it all this past year to get my bills down. I have seen projections and find it easy to compare . Have also managed to snaffle a few freebies- the powerdown meters are great.:T

    I go through every tip.:D

Will give it more thought over the weekend as i am weighing up pro's and con's. :rotfl:

  • Update for the day.

I have offers for extra work on top of my day. This is through 1:1 tuition in Schools. The only problem i have is that the schools are not very near to me and i am working in West Lancs- trying to get aside to East Lancs:o but i am sure there will be plenty of local schools coming up. It is only for 10 weeks so may be well worth the little bit extra.:D

I also have a very over full timetable at the moment so that is another consideration- but i am want the extra to pay towards DD's Uni fees.

Other than that we are having a meal out tonight- an all you can eat carvery for £3.99:D Not exactly MSE but it is nice to mark a birthday. I don't eat pud, and doubt i could manage one after the carvery anyway.:rotfl:
