The USB slots kick everything out
Impossible unless you mean nothing works when plugged into them but that could be driver issues
    Monitor goes green
Could be the cable connecting to the desktop not seated correctly when you hooked it all back up.
    Freezes
    Could be malware/viruses
Not very clear screen (not sharp at all)
Wrong resolution set in graphics/display properties. A flat screen monitor is only sharp at its native resolution.

It is quite feasible that all of these problems are user error or software problems which lands it at your feet, not the retailer.

In which case the highly-skilled Tech Guys (if it is them!) will be able to sort this out in less than an hour, and be able to return a working PC to the now-happy owner in a spirit of good will and peace to all men...

Err, no. There's a reason why they're working in DSG instead of working elsewhere for 2-3 times the money...

i'm sure no basic hardware tech job pays £45k a year... (3 times), you'd actually have to have qualifications, and know high end things, rather than just standard desktop support..

Not really. Anyone worth their salt can earn £30 an hour doing home support.

    Ha!
That'll be the home support that I used to get calls about: guy in a nicely sign written car charging £80 to look at a pc.
Plus the cost of the "fix", which in the 7 instances I dealt with entailed a reinstall of windows and no recovery of data beforehand.
Nor did he return the original parts in 2 cases (the old hard drive, broken bearings apparently!), but on one that the owner specifically said he wanted it back, which took nearly 2 weeks to be returned, I repaired the corrupted boot.ini file and left a mighty relieved family.

There is home support and there is home support, be careful about who you let in your home.

To the OP, you've probably left it too long to reject it now unfortunately. You need to document every fault that you can find (ideally get a tech savvy friend to help, he may even solve some of the problems?), take the whole system back to Currys, explain that they have had the pc previously and it is still causing problems - the original fix didn't fix it!

Be firm but fair, hand them the list of issues (including the crossed out ones with your friend's help) and explain that as it is all under warranty from Currys, you need them to solve them. You have to allow them a reasonable amount of time, but you have every right to be kept informed regarding progress, anything over 14 days is stretching things, but they may push for 28.
Once they claim to have fixed things, get them to demonstrate in store, they may well pick up on you doing something?

    Best of luck.
