Virgin mobile contract application

Hi folks,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has any experience of obtaining a contract with Virgin mobile?

Basically I have issues with my address, in that my postcode has recently been changed. I have an Orange contract but can't get a Vodafone contract for love nor money; nothing to do with my credit, just them being difficult weirdos about my address. Anyway, as Virgin use a different credit reference agency to Vodafone, I am hoping to switch to them over Orange, however, can you guys help me answer these questions:

Do you have experience of obtaining a mobile contract with Virgin? Have you obtained one with adverse credit or little credit history?

Are they a difficult bunch like Vodafone, do you feel they have weird acceptance criteria?

I would like to make a decision before applying.

I recently tried to take out a Blackberry VM contract. I had just moved house, which caused no end of problems. My advice would be DO NOT go via the call centre, which was overseas - they ended up credit checking me 4 times.

I went to the VM store in Edinburgh and they were really helpful and said the contract would have been straightforward done in store. Am still deciding whether to go with VM now all the duplicate checks have been removed - am a bit wary now.
