Hi All
Appologies for this repeat post, but i seem to be getting conflicting answers
I bought a blackberry for my OH from T-Mobile for £99.99, which came with free internet and email access for the year.
She is currently on T-Mobile and wants to keep her number
The question is, how does she keep her current number AND take advantage of the free access?
I have been told two different stories, and dont want to to anything until i have a solid answer!
1- just put the current simcard in the phone and it you will have free email/web _ that came from carphone warehouse
2-get the PUK move to 02,use for a day, get the PUK from them and move back to T-Mobile
Please help! the phone is in the Box and shes dying to use it!

Have you tried the forum on the T-Mobile UK website to see if there is an answer?
On some networks, you can port existing number onto new SIM in this type of scenario.0 -
The only way to do it unfortunately is option '2' as you're moving from T-Mobile to T-Mobile. You can't use the standard free internet service with a Blackberry as you need a Blackberry plan - RIM provide the service for Blackberries via the network.
As such, you need to grab a PAYG SIM and move it off network, and then back on network again. Some networks have a minimum number of days you have to stay with the network before you can port back, so make sure to check this before moving the number onto a different SIM.Hope that helps,
Mark

Give T-Mobile CS a call and tell them you have bought the blackberry package and would like to use your existing number on the phone with the free 12 month plan.
They will then transfer your number over to the new sim along with any credit you have on your number.

Called Tmobile CS today and informed that under no circumstances will they transfer the new number!!!
I explanined that i wanted to use the free internet/email offer but with my current number and they were having none of it!
I dont see the problem- they are still going to get the top ups from me regardless.
Anyone any other ideas or any TMobile staff knocking about here?0 -
I know it doesn't seem sensible, but here's their reasoning:
Customer really wants old number, they also need internet for their Blackberry. Bet they'd be willing to pay the £10 per month for Blackberry out of their top up, earning us double money, just so they can keep their number.
Sounds stupid I know, but to the company makes perfect sense.Hope that helps,
Mark
