An interesting post on Tamebay - http://tamebay.com/2009/12/10-for-10-psychic-psues-predictions-for-2010-on-ebay.html
Although the author is keen to point out that these are just predictions based on beta tests or speculation, 5, 6 & 7 make for interesting consideration.

I hope they don't go up as high as they used to be, I love the cheaper insertion fees at the moment, I don't want to give those up and have to pay oodles more plus 15p for every gallery pic as I used to.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think on reflection I can see the possibility of ebay copying some of the Amazon model with free inserion but higher FVFs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Theyve already done it in the us site with their media products making it look like amazon does in its marketplace - only a matter of time before ebay uk does it!0 -
What are these outlet sellers who have gone into meltdown? And what does it mean to go into meltdown?0
-
These are the outlet stores - http://deals.ebay.co.uk/outlet/ - Schuhstore has collected over 1500 negs in the last month, but where most sellers would have been kicked into touch, eBay are still pandering to them and giving them huge exposure despite the behind the scenes inability to control their stock.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

i would like to see a new competitor come on the scene maybe with a decent bank backing them for payment transactions. Id like to see more vetting of sellers for security and protection and id like lower fees, reality ebay fees are going to go up paypal fees will go up and by the time you sell something even at 100% profit you'll be lucky to walk away with a 25% profit after they have taken their cutsEveryones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0

All the real competitiors gave up years ago.
Also fees are now lower than they were in the past, but people have such short memories.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
