well done kaz! I think the secret to good shape in making things is ironing as you go! this may help in deciding which to do!

OMG, I've actually done it :T. I popped into Dunelm this evening and picked up 2 remnants of fabric. The one in the picture was £2.99 and will do 2 pillows, trimmed down to cushions. There are also some left over strips from the side trimmed bit.
I cannot believe that I actually managed to do this. It was immensly therapeutic and DH even picked it up from the sofa to have a look at it whilst he was watching TV :D.
I was a bit frightened but just stopped when I got scared and thought back to all the wonderful advice I have picked up from this thread over the time I've been lurking :A.
Here's the link to my album on facebook, I'm not clever enough to post pics directly onto here, I always muck it up when I try via photobucket :o.
Hope you all like it as much as I do :).

Thanks guys for your help. I'm sticking around now although I may not post often. I need to get on and make the other one tomorrow night.

Kazz well done :T the cushion looks great :D
    No stopping you now :D

I have not done any sewing for a few days as Ive been sorting all (tons :rotfl:) my fabric out. Ive decided I need to put it into colour piles so I can see what I have. I brought some clear shoe boxes a while back (reduced in Morrisons) and now they are stacked neatly on my sewing table :D
Im going to sew all my scraps together to make a scrappy quilt as I have a large box full of offcuts (I cann't throw any of my fabric, no matter how small :rotfl:)
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Does anyone know if New Look Simplicity patterns have seam allowances included - I've had a major panic about this now I've finished cutting out a little dress for my daughter:eek:

Had an expensive day yesterday buying fabric for a double sized quilt to be a wedding present for my sister and her DH to be :eek::eek:

Yes they do. To my knowledge it is only Burda that don't unless some one knows otherwise
