The interesting point about the article is the final paragraph:Separately, Mobile has learned that major retailers factor in a 30%-40% ‘redemption rate’ on cashbacks. Working on the assumption that up to two-fifths of connections won’t claim their cashbacks, retailers can operate on even tighter margins.
Of course, they could have picked that up from earlier discussion on this board!
