  • Just on my desktop which isn't great tbh. My housemate also uses it on her Toshiba laptop, but I don't know the spec.

How's the Dell warranty, is it 1 year? Do you have a link to the laptop you're describing?

    Thanks again.

  • The Dell one does look nice... I'm more swayed with the Acer from John Lewis though. The warranty and the cheaper price is doing it for me. Would I really notice that much of a difference only playing games occassionally?

Depends what the Graphics on the John Lewis is, assuming its the same model as the Tesco, then I think Sims 3 will work just slow and might become painful to play as time goes on as the other sims start getting bizzy and making babies etc.

There is not much in the sims 3 forum on the integrated intel graphics cards on their actual purformance. but minimum specification for graphics is a 128 MB Video Card with support for Pixel Shader 2.. manaufacture specification check would be needed to see if the Pixel Shader 2 is a feature.

Playing games will be the only time you notice if your computer is struggling, Internet, DVDs and even BBC iplayer HD assuming you have the Broadband speed will be fine.
