  • Don't need Sky etc. For £25 a month mobile phone, you should be getting around 400 X network minutes, free landline calls and around 500MB mobile internet...
  • Sorry, i'm not going to be much help, but i know EXACTLY what you mean about the bit left over. Mine's approx the same, but I never see it.

I suggest looking at your bank statements. I found approx £100 of that money. Seems I spend all day every day shopping in Asda :rotfl:

Your kids don't need the disney channel. Doesn't freeview have cbeebies?

£80 per month on presents? That's almost £1k per year!!

TV licence is too high. It's about £24 per month when paid over 6 months.

Hi Cookie and congrats on posting and well done on getting your interest frozen too!

Have you approached one of the free debt management companies yet like CCCS, Payplan and another one I can't remember the name of! (Sorry).

They will take over all your payments to your creditors and keep the wolves from your door.

Do you really need to put £80 per month away for birthday/Christmas pressies?

Also, could you change to real terry nappies rather than the disposable ones? The initial outlay may be expensive but it would save you loads in the longrun.

Also you could start a spending diary to help you find where your leftover money is going - you'd be surprised how the odd choccie bar and packet of crisps mount up. Remember, look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves! You don't realise how that saying works until you actually tot up how much 50p here and 45p there costs (= pounds)! I know I've done it!

Sorry I can't be any more help.

    Good luck

Your babies do not need to be buying presents (by proxy) for their aunts and uncles. Well certainly not whilst you are struggling to pay your debts.

Is there any way you can get any help from the childrens father?

    That makes sense

80 per month is about right I have 4 birthdays (my children( and xmas to buy for and i try to spread the cost yearly ;-) plus getting little small gifts for the children to give thier nannys/bampys and aunty/uncels only something like a small smellie set

Utter madness. I'd have thought £40 per month would be more than adequate. That still gives you £480 per year to spend (which at £100 per child and £80 for everything else is still way over the top).

Oh, and you haven't put any child support in your SOA ;)
