Another mortgage payment has cleared and we are down to £140737 so £474 has come off the capital...its going to be the end of july before we get into the 139's as SMP isnt stretching very far and there isnt much scope for any o/p's.

Another 4 items sold on ebay.....its only about ten pounds in total but it is all really adding up and have a few bids on other items.
Halifax rewards have been paid today so have paid the £10 off the mortgage :j
My only spend today was a 2 litre jar of milk...wish everyday was like this. We are going to a concert type thing tomorrow evening and are eating out beforehand...a very rare treat these days. A couple of years ago i thought nothing of eating out 2-3 times a week, now that we only do it occassionally i appreciate it far moreCredit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -

I can relate to this.. I too used to eat out at least a couple of times a week and would think nothing of paying £50 for my meal - just think how small my mortgage might be now if I had come to my senses sooner:D....and I totally agree with you about enjoying it more now as it is a treat and not the norm.

Not much happening on the MFW front. We have decided to change our car to a people carrier as getting 3 children into the car is a nightmare especially when 2 are in car seats. We have looked at a few modles including the VW sharan the Seat alhambra and the Ford galaxy but cant make a decision yet about which one we prefer.
Unfortunately to get anything half decent we are going to have to put another 4k approximately to the trade in price .
So its going to take us a while to replenish the savings. Thankfully i am back to work in 2 months time and am looking forward to getting paid again.
Hope everyone is keeping well and plodding along. I have £150 in my paypal account from ebay sales which i am saving towards spending money for our holiday in a few weeksCredit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -

Hope you find a suitable car. Many families need to go up to 7-seaters when child number 3 arrives! We changed DH's car to a 3 door just before we decided to TTC for number 2. Not such a wise decision now.
As much as you won't want matenity leave to come to an end it will be nice to earn again. I am lucky in that when I start maternity leave in September I have opted to be paid equally over the 9 months so there won't be any nasty surprises!
Be nice hitting that milestone next month, these mini challenges we set for ourselves can really keep us going.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hi CathT, we actually bought a ford galaxy last week and am really enjoying the extra space but have also noticed the increase in diesel consumption .
Thats great being able to spread your maternity pay over the nine months...i work in the NHS too but our trust didnt provide that option.
Yeah we are really looking forward to getting below 140k, it will be a big achievement for us.
Hope the pregnancy is going well, it seems like no time since you told us all you were expecting!Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -
Hi.
You seem to be making good progress. Where have you been the past couple of weeks? I haven't seen you posting much. Hope all is well.0
