I had the same disbelief when i sold mine as it made all the pictures look pink, but someone wanted it. I was sure i would get negative feedback but they were over the moon.
Funny old world. I hope you find more treasures to sell. Great end result.0 -
Thanks guys....one of the ebay buyers emailed me this morning saying she is not happy with her purchase and that it was not in VGC. This has annoyed me so much as i always list the items honestly and would never try and deceive anyone. Basically she has said she will leave negative feedback for me, so i offered her a refund......of course she said yes, so now she has the item for FREE and a refund of postage and packaging.
The best part is the item only cost her £1.70 !!! So i have had to send her a cheque for £2.20 to make sure i dont get negative feedback.......sometimes i wonder if it is really worth the bother. Thankfully 99% of other people wouldnt be so ridiculous.
It is completely lashing down here and i am still in my pyjamas...the girls are upstairs supposedly "tidying" their room...should be interesting.

I sold an old swimming costume once, and like you list everything as is, and someone was whinging it was more worn than she expected. What the flippety flip do they want when they are buying at that price? I think some of them expect shop quality don't they. You are kinder than me. I wouldn't have given the postage back as well. I know why you did it though.0

Hi Michelle, thanks for posting, glad its not just me then
. Am about to list another load of stuff this evening so it hasnt put me off..lol
Hi Cath, thanks for your kind wishes, i really hope it works too. It is very hard because i have three children and for the last 2 pregnancys have dreaded telling them...not that they wernt happy for us, they were delighted...it just makes you so much more aware of their pain.

I hate snotty eBay buyers like that, but I have to say I do state that I'll refund once I receive the item back and I won't pay their return postage either. May be harsh but certainly sorts the con artists from the genuine buyers.0

Hi YB, she kind of caught me off guard as this has never happened before and i was so annoyed as her email was really rude. I was a bit cross with myself later for giving her the complete refund plus the postage but a lesson has been learned and i am glad it was only £2.20 :rotfl:
Just sitting here with OH watching cinderalla man...dont know if any of you have ever seen it....it is hard to believe that a family could live that close to the breadline...it makes all the waste and extravagance of modern day families, including ours, seem ridiculous.
Really want to get the house tidied and sorted tomorrow...with three little ones it seems to unravel into a state of chaos in no time and it really does my head in. When the house is tidy and organised i feel so much more at ease and less grumpy and am not constantly thinking about what needs to be done.Credit card £4461.15Home mortgage £137117Buy to let mortgage £83,0000 -

Thank you for asking, I didn't get it but knew that as I hadn't had a phonecall before I went to Spain and then the rejection letter (my first one!) came earlier this week. I'm fine with it though, I only applied as it was mon-fri and my ward is closing but had a good meeting in work earlier this week. I could possibly secure a move to an acute ward I would like to work in (a post has come up but if we officially close I will get priority and they will withdraw advertised jobs) or there are enough vacancies for us all to stay in our area.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
Hi cath, hopefully something will turn up and i hope you had a good time in spain...would make a nice change from the weather we have been having here.
I have 23 items listed on ebay but only bids on one item...hopefully a few will sell.
I am back to work in 12 weeks time and instead of making anymore o/p s between now and then i am just trying to survive on the income we have without using the credit card .
The last time i went on maternity leave i had £1200 on the credit card which took most of my first months pay to clear and i really dont want to do this again.
I am trying really hard to only buy what we need and have been using loads of food we have in the freezers to reduce grocery spends.
DH and I have decided that at some point we would like a fourth child ( definately the last ), but he thinks we should start trying in about 6 months time. His theory is to have them all close together and then in 4-5 years time we would not need any childcare and can concentrate more on savings and mortgage etc.
In a way i agree with him but in another way i would like to wait about 2 years so that DD2 was at school. Realistically if we had four children i would not be able to work full time or i might go insane. If we waited a couple of years then we would have made more progress with the mortgage and me going part time wouldnt be such a financial strain IYSWIM. Also having four kids means a change of vehicles which would be more expense. Decisions decisions....Sorry for waffling
