Why do small children object so much to cleaning their room? DD is in the middle of a tantrum...the cause? Me mentioning I wanted to hoover her room and could she possibly clear the floor.....

The time she's taken to have a tantrum was ample to clean the few items she had on the floor!

Not just small children:D I have a theory that children feel very insecure if they can see carpet.

I have a cold. So I feel very grumpy. I am decluttering all the teens soon - one into town with a friend, and two to work. Then I may do a bit of flying if I feel better. I should be doing the dreaded planning...but can't think straight.

    Halfway through the bedroom list...

:bdaycake:Happy birthday to boddy and tooch's DDs!!

cat moved now has it?! :p:p:p

No, he is still asleep on my clothes on the Snug sofa. I just haven't got dressed yet :p. Cleaning to keep warm.

My bed side bookpile has been removed and shelved. Seriously running out of space for books now. Must have a gentle nudge re bookcase corridoor. Maybe take a leaf out of Mudbath's book and threaten to get cheap ones from Ikea....

We have major condensation - seems far worse this winter than in previous years. Will a dehumdifier help? Any recommendations? Stone walls probably want re-pointing.

    TADA!!!!

Why is it that when you finally get round to doing jobs you have been putting off they actually turn out to be quite easy??

Any way, I have cleared out the walk in wardrobe and turfed some stuff out for charity, you can now see the floor and it looks soooooo tidy :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Good job I did because I found 5 pairs of black trousers that fit me which is good as i am off into town in a bit to spend some Crimble vouchers and I was going to buy...you guessed it...black trousers!!! Now I realise that don't actually need trousers but I could really do with a new skirt!!!

I am suddenly very tired so may have a small nap before I go out!!
Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last
  • Morning everyone

Just returned from Mr S and an outdoor shop and go myself a new pedometer for £2.99 and some new outdoor shoe/boots which I have been looking for ages at a low price. Cost £25 for a mid range but should be good for what I want them for, not scaling moutains in these just keep my feet dry in the weather.

Also bought a new shower curtain for £1! Bargain and washable too!

As the weather is so pleasant I am off to take the dog for a nice long walk and then return to complete the bedroom and bathroom list.

See you all later for a list update

oh dear Valli, hope you can get it sorted out

I noticed today that there was an item on my catalogue order that I hadn't received (don't want it now as it's too late, it was a Christmas table cloth set) anyway it's on the statement as dispatched 3rd Dec, they are sending me a form....
