Go and have a look at it, you don't need to take it either. Was down the depot the other week and the person in front of me PAID for a Xmas card from a Labour Councillor, which had no stamp on it. Gave us all a giggle.

Our post office doesn't let you do this. You don't get to see what it is until you've paid up.
  • I had the same. 0.03p underpaid, so I travelled 3 miles to the sorting office, paid £1 to park, got the letter for £1.22p. opened it, and found a letter from my bank that was 100 yards from the sorting office, Subject of the letter ' how to save money with Barclays', and YES I did go straight to the bank and demand my costs back.

! It would help if the card makers could put some kind of label on the card packs to say if they are oversized..... too practical? Of course.

I've noticed that most individual cards do tell you on the back what postage is required normally around where the price code is but I didn't check any of the packs we bought so maybe they dont.

Yeah unfortunately to do that I'd have to shell out the £1.17!! It would help if the card makers could put some kind of label on the card packs to say if they are oversized..... too practical? Of course.

Sorry, I meant everytime someone got a grey underpaid postcard. Most relatives handwriting is readable from the envelope, so no need to pay it.

Some card manufacturers do state on them which price is needed, but it's just the larger card manufacturers from what i'm led to believe
