moving house to flee anti social behaviour

After being the subject of lots of anti social behaviour we have sucessfully got ASBO's on the yobs. In the meantime we have been advised to move, by the housing association and the Police.
The housing association have found us a property and it is being treated as a transfer.
Great you might think.
Problem is that we have no funds to do this. I have 2 school children and a son at college.
I have no job and dont qualify for JSA as I dont have enough insurance stamps and my hubbies last day of work was Christmas Eve when he was laid off a long term temporary position.
As we have been advised and found a property as a direct result of this anti social behaviour problem, is there anywhere we can go for help as we need carpets and curtains too....We have no savings and no way of finding the money for this enforced move.

You may be able to get a crisis loan, obviously a crisis loan isnt for carpets and curtains but it might help with the actual moving costs.
Good luck, think how peaceful life is going to be from now on.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
sorry no words of advice but just wanted to say I totally know how you feel. I have posted before on the issues we face daily with antisocial behaviour but we have never got as far as you. I have been reporting for over a year and we have had this trouble since 2003 but the house was my parents until a year ago when myself and husband took over the tenancy. It really is hell, I just wish we could get out of it too.
Congratulations on getting a new house, and good luck in your new home. May you have peace and quiet now!

I shall look into the Crisis Loan.
In the meantime for anyone else suffering as we have done,
keep bombarding the police, housing association and council.
The councils have all been told they have to be accountable and do something about it.
We stood up to the yobs and put our names to the statements and the Police were excellent as were the council.
I cannot tell you have releaved we are.
It was in our local paper last week and the only annoying bit is that 2 of them are 13/14 and their names arent allowed to be published or leaflets include them.
I hope that those left where we are get a little relief, although it is the tip of the iceberg, and they are scared.
Dont be scared....be scary!!!

Perhaps even ask the police - you may find you are eligible to apply to the victims of crime funds.

bigmama would you be willing to share how you got to this position either on this thread or in PM? As I am very interested to know if there is more I can personally do to get our issue sorted as sometimes I really do feel like I can take no more. Any advice you have to offer would be greatly received.Weight loss November 09-January 10: [STRIKE]13lbs[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]20lbs[/STRIKE] 27lbs! :j0

On the actual moving day you'll save a lot if you can hire a van and Diy rather than get a removal firm. Maybe get a couple of friends to help for a pint or two.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
