Doesn't matter sarahg the product cannot be returned if it was open. Its the same with anything. And more so if its a Game/DVD/CD/Computer Software. As this can all be copied and that would mean the product would be free.
Contacting the game manufacturer will be best idea if the game is not working.
Utter rot. You can return any goods if they are faulty, and you can insist on your legal entitlement to a choice on how to proceed from there onwards if it happens quickly enough after purchase that you can reject the goods under SOGA. IIRC its only once you've had the goods for a while and have "accepted" them, then you can be forced to accept repair or replacement at the shop's discretion.
If you allege that you can't return products if they've been opened and "it's the same with anything" then how do you think anything anywhere ever gets returned as faulty; quite often that is impossible to determine without opening the product's packaging is it not?
You can return faulty products once the packaging has been opened, that is, after all, part of finding out that the product is faulty. Now that really is "the same with anything".If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -
yes in this case its not in the original condition and packaging therefore it cannot be returned. And i am not quoting any law i am saying what i know.
But you don't know. That's the point. You are very wrong. :wall:
In the case of a faulty item, the packaging is entirely irrelevant.0 -

When I was a very young kid, I "knew" that my mother and father were quite literally the best parents in the world:o. Without wishing to diminish my memories of them in any way now that they have passed on, I have subsequently learnt that many other people used to feel the same about their parents at that age, and logically we can't all be right...:rotfl:
See my point? If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -

I know it can be difficult to get some stores to accept their obligations, but the sale of goods act is reality. I've returned faulty software for refund using it before, I've returned computer hardware of unsatisfactory quality to places like PC World who don't really want to give you a refund and insisted on it...
If refunds for faulty goods aren't in your reality then that is only because you don't insist on your rights and I'm sorry for you if that is the case.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0 -

Isn't the point of this board to know what rights you have at law?
Personally I've never had a problem enforcing my rights and will very readily issue proceedings if I am getting nowhere and am in the right. I've never lost.0 -
No.
It doesn't have a software licence.
