I never used to include my student loan as I didn't consider it a debt. But I've realised EVERYTHING I owe is a debt so I'm being honest about it all and including it. I now have a plan to pay it off early too, along with my mortgage. No more head in the sand. I second your getting rid of cards and loans first. That's what I'm doing too. And although I don't get my shopping delivered, because I've finally learned to stick to a budget, (£50 per week for 5 of us!!) I know lots of people on this site do. Its the lesser of two evils, spend £100 quid on rubbish or £5 delivery. Its a no-brainer really.

To meet this challenge I ebay, ebay, ebay, do surveys which I've just started and hoping to build up, use topcashback for everything I can, and play free scratchcards and bingo. I also do the very odd mystery shop and I've just sold my old gold jewellery. If I get a voucher or spend tesco points then I transfer the cash I would have spent to go towards my debt. Likewise if I make a saving on something I transfer the cash, eg this month I have transferred the water rates direct debit money because its over 10 months not 12 and doesn't get collected this month, and I've added it to my total. I'm totally addicted to moneysaving, debt paying, this challenge and this website. Its fab! :D

Hi can you send me a link for the free scratchcards and bingo. Are they reliable at paying out and do you have to put any money in the first place?

Just updated my Ebay sales, I'm amazed got £60+ and £40+ in a last minute bidding frenzy:Dso added this and yesterdays £67.

Well done misswissy on the gold sale, thinking of selling some myself.

clairewop, your jewellery is lovely. I think you can open a personal account and or (microaccount for under £10 and cheaper fees)I 'm sure I read you just need 2 email addys and 2 banking accounts.

Alix, I usually find finishing on a Sunday was good for me but with the weather at the moment anytime.

I prefer for items to finish on a Thursday or Friday so i have satuday to go to the PO as going during the week is always difficult for me.

I've become a bit debt obsessed since the 1st Jan my OH thinks i'm obsessed with the computer! I've made packed lunches everyday to work and sold some purfume and his playstaion on ebay!! I'm not sure what else i can sell on ebay - put some handbags on that i've never used but they haven't had any bids on. I've got a tesco credit card which is 0 % on all purchases so i'm buying everything on it and every time i spend i am transferring the money off one of my credit cards at a higher rate to save on the interest. I've also told my OH that anything we do in terms of going out he will have to pay for as i'm sorting our joint debts out. I've nearly emptied the freezer completely and am going to ( after next week) take a trip to iceland or aldi to stock up on freezer stuff... I have banned myself from shops altogether and although its only been a week i can't believe how good i feel about being in control.
Your idea about selling gold is a great one - i have a pile of stuff from being about 14 to 25 which i am never goiing to wear or do anything with so i'll make that my target to sort for the weekend - could you let me know which site you used? I've also sent an old mobile phone off for recycling so just waiting for my cheque to arrive.. Thinking of selling all my partners dvds next... we never watch them ever...! i know theres actually a dvd site isn't there - this would mean i don't have to pay postage.. any one used them?
good luck everyone over the weekend...

Well started better than I thought and was at £18.11 by the end of the first few days :D (this is my first time and I am aiming for £2 a day) and then it all went quiet ... but the postie has just plopped £3 pinecone vouchers on my mat :T so £21.11 / £62 for me. I have sold £2.94 on ebay too but want to get it posted and work out actual profit after fees etc before I add that in...

Well doen everyone so far x

Assuming you mean Music Magpie - they are very easy to use, I have used them quite a few times now but I would recommend attempting to sell them yourself on Amazon or Play first and only go to Music Magpie last because MM give you anything from 30p to a couple of £s at most for rare ones. You will make more selling them yourself. If you want quick payment all in one go then MM is the way to go. Boxsets should definately be sold on Amazon or Play.

I personally think that MM sells the stuff it buys on Play and Amazon anyway so if you can sell them yourself you will make more money
Not been here in years! Hi everyone. Make £10 a day challenge = £78.45/155
