I have started using cashback sites, selling stuff at Amazon and opened a Bingo account, getting cashback. I won £21.07 today. SoldCD/Dvds worth £19.68 on Music Magpie. Will add it when I get it into my account.

Now going to work out how to sell on ebay.

    I will aim for £5 a day.

Love the thread, getting loads of ideas.

Oh and I've posted off my gold. Hope I find out tomorrow how much I get. I'm a bit apprehensive about it because I had no clue what was 18ct and what was 9ct. I've told them its 50/50 so we'll see what they grade it at. Not a bad days work. ;)[/QUOTE]

Wow! I'm impressed. Posted my gold at 2.30 yesterday afternoon and had an email at 10.15 this morning confirming that a bacs payment had been made for my gold.

I was very pleased with the price they game me per gram, however, I had no clue what was 9ct and what was 18ct. It seems none of it was 18ct and some of it was not gold at all. Shows what I know! :o But I still have £90 winging its little way to my account. For what was essentially a load of cr*p I'm quite happy. Off to update my sig.

    Hi Misswissy,
I've just seen your student loan is on yours - I must find out how much mine is and add it on! ! and my mortgage too. I really want to get loans and credit cards clear this year and am determined not to spend anything at all unless it is on food, heating ( and essential bills) and petrol. Never have I been so pleased that tesco didn't turn up with my home delivery and gave me £10 compensation!! ( i know home delivery sounds like an unnecessary expense but until I can trust myself in the supermarket to keep to a budget I'm keeping well away!! I'm budgeting £30 shopping a week ( which is amazing as to date I have never been in tesco and spent less than 100).
Any other tips you have would be really greatfully recieved.
ha ha - i did do a signature thing really and then when i've replied to this thread its not come up!! when I go into edit signature its there.. but its not here!! Nevermind!
    Thanks

I never used to include my student loan as I didn't consider it a debt. But I've realised EVERYTHING I owe is a debt so I'm being honest about it all and including it. I now have a plan to pay it off early too, along with my mortgage. No more head in the sand. I second your getting rid of cards and loans first. That's what I'm doing too. And although I don't get my shopping delivered, because I've finally learned to stick to a budget, (£50 per week for 5 of us!!) I know lots of people on this site do. Its the lesser of two evils, spend £100 quid on rubbish or £5 delivery. Its a no-brainer really.

To meet this challenge I ebay, ebay, ebay, do surveys which I've just started and hoping to build up, use topcashback for everything I can, and play free scratchcards and bingo. I also do the very odd mystery shop and I've just sold my old gold jewellery. If I get a voucher or spend tesco points then I transfer the cash I would have spent to go towards my debt. Likewise if I make a saving on something I transfer the cash, eg this month I have transferred the water rates direct debit money because its over 10 months not 12 and doesn't get collected this month, and I've added it to my total. I'm totally addicted to moneysaving, debt paying, this challenge and this website. Its fab! :D
