First post here so be nice folks......

I've been watching this thread with interest and wasn't too sure whether I wanted this telly or not. To be honest in the end I decided not to because of the much better tellys that are available for just £50 or so more. Even at £199 imo this basic cheap range telly still isn't that much of a bargain.
    full HD 32"?
Maybe you could share some examples to help the people who missed out on this deal? :T

Apologies if I'm being naive, but with the contrast ratio at just 1300:1 would HD be any good?

As I posted in the thread before, a branded HD Ready TV will blow this out of the water, especially with standard definition viewing.

I would heartily recommend the following:-

Thats fair enough and its priced about right for what it is, but dare I say not a bargain.
  • Just managed to get one which is being delivered on Monday :jit's for our dining room so now extra floor space, for more toys I suppose;)

My brother thinks I have the magic touch now and wants me to get him one:eek:

    Thanks for the link/tips/advice.

Which is an example of an attitude I can't understand. I have seen one of these TV's and it can't handle standard definition pictures at all well so for normal TV it will be a complete waste of time.

If you do put a HD feed into it, it will be better but it is crippled by a useless contrast ratio.

It's a 200 quid TV for 200 quid. If you don't need a TV (if you say you can't afford it for example) it's not a big enough bargain to make it worth buying.

Quite right, if it was about £150 then it would be bargain. At £299 or whatever it was before this sale it was a blatant rip-off!

Oh b***s - it let me through to where you give the credit card and verify it - and then it told me they were out of stock.
