Maybe Argos have a supply & demand policy.

If they have any in stock, £89.

If they don't have any in stock £34.

I bought the same razor from Amazon, for £34 delivered. The price has been all over the place since then (from £34 to £99), fortunately I haven't seen it drop below the £34 I paid :)

Then you may be delighted to know it is now £45 at Amazon > http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-HQ7380-Rechargeable-Rotary-Shaver/dp/B001C9RXU8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=beauty&qid=1262010390&sr=8-1

The first week in December I bought a Philips 7380 shaver from Argos for £43, the normal retail price was claimed to be £89

So you got it at a sale price

    Checked prices again today -
Argos now increased to an unbelievable £89,

and this seems to tally with the above - problem is? Ah it's that you have too much time on your hands...

And Comet's never is ? :rotfl:

    Too right.

I spotted ipod online at £134, logged in a few hours later to buy and it was up to £149. I rang and queried - was told it never had been £134:confused:. Bought it elsewhere, did a search for case and Comet popped up with ipods now showing - £134. All within 2 days.
  • As others have observed, Amazon does this a lot. Sometimes the price fluctuations are absurd...sometimes, though, they work in the customer's favour. It may be worth sticking items you're interested in, into your basket "To buy later" on Amazon and keeping an eye on their prices and then pouncing to pay when the price is "right."
