Argos price fluctuations

The first week in December I bought a Philips 7380 shaver from Argos for £43, the normal retail price was claimed to be £89 so it seemed a good deal. About a week later I saw a Comet advertisement for the same model at £34, checked the Argos price and it had gone up to £58. Returned the item to Argos and purchased from Comet.
Checked prices again today -
Argos now increased to an unbelievable £89, Comet still at £34

Obviously Argos pricing is highly suspect.

im picking up a reserved hard drive from comet today
at the online price minus a 10% discount
they shelf price will be far higher

As always .... it pays to shop around particularly at sale time.

Yes, but youre supposed to shop around before you buy something.

I can never understand people buying stuff and then carry on looking for a cheaper price elsewhere

or if you buy an item at said price you stick with irrespective of whether anywhere else has it cheaper
