SPECS cameras on motorways

  • As others have said, it's the reflection on the glass, I thought the same thing but noticed the infra red lamp.

At what speed do these trigger a fine at? I go up through them most weeks and do 50 (at road works) and have people passing me.

Usually its 10mph over the limit however the gatco type cameras on the M25 only catch people doing over 90 when no speed limit signs are displayed
You find most SPECS sites are switched off anyway due to the amount evidential documents required to make the site legally enforceable

I have asked this before, but always good for an update...

Has anyone been issued with a ticket in respect of the average speed cameras on the M1 around Nottingham which last for about 15 miles?

i have noticed this with a number of cameras in Kent, that appear to flash as you go past them. I went through one in Ramsgate and was sure it flashed but speedo read 29 at the time and was not breaking. Went thought next day and did the same and realised that it was a security light on a house..

No, I go through them at least twice a month and keep to the limit (easy on cruise control) but wonder about all the cars/van which just seem to truck on through well over the 50mph. I can understand why foreign registered cars do but the others???
