  • Please put me down for 15. I won't count normal bills and a weekly grocery shop though. Hopefully it will help me avoid the smaller shops, and make sure I shop properly at the beginning of the week

    Hi fellow challengers!

Today is my 4th NSD and also happens to be my 5th NSD (NoSmokingDay) I was updating my spreadsheet for December and noticed that everytime I went to buy cigarettes I'd end up spending money on groceries and all sorts, just because I was in the shop.

Tomorrow I'm back to work for the first time in a week so will be leaving my cards and money at home to avoid the temptation of shopping as well as not being able to buy cigarettes.

I've also been spending a stupid amount of money topping up my oystercard to use the tube as I'm to lazy to use the bus, which I have season ticket for, as it's all I can afford, as well as getting cabs when I'm to lazy to wait for a bus in the snow, so that'll put a stop to that too.

    Cheers

Hi Catch & Welcome to You & All our New Friends. I think you'll find us a cheerful bunch & you'll settle straight in I'm sure :D
Just to say that whatever YOU decide to include or exclude as a Spend, is entirely up to YOU. It's YOUR Challenge, YOUR accounts, YOUR lifestyle, YOUR decision. There's no rules or guidelines here & we do tend to operate a confessional but that's more useful as a debrief than an admission :p
For me, all essential bills like council tax & utilities, are not included but Grocery spends are as that is where I do most of my spending :o Before getting involved here I could go in a supermarket every day on the pretence of getting something that couldn't wait till tomorrow. And we all know that one wikkul pint of milk can cost a tenner when you get to the check-out

Me too! can you put me down for 20 NSDs? Ive never done this before but desparately need to not spend money in the sales.
Im not going to include necessary food, travel or other necessary things like cub fees etc. But I am going to include chocolate, clothes, parking fees to look at clothes, books, mags, and excessive and pointless cleaning products.
