The Imperial War Museum in London this week opened a new exhibition about the Ministry of Food. Link here
Radio 4's Today Programme has an audio slideshow, featuring Jane Fearnley-Whittingstall and Marguerite Patten, which is fascinating :T
We're planning a visit during the Easter holidays.
Has anyone been yet?

Penny, I've added your post to thriftlady's original thread to keep the replies together.
I would love to see this exhibition but living where I do I doubt if we'll manage to get there before the summer.
If anyone is planning to go in the near future there is going to be an Old Style meet on Saturday 27th February. See this thread for more details:

The book is worth buying
Loads of great illustrations, I just love those wartime posters.Lots of information and lots of good recipes for wartime classics which have been updated so that they are more tasty but still thrifty and some excellent seasonal menu plans for the modern kitchen. There'a pic of Jane F-W on the website, doesn't she look like Hugh?
