Looks like MWB has got it, it was showing 22 items on the log, which is strange as I scanned about 4 days ago. Thanks for your help folks.

    Latest database version is 3435
Yours is 3414. Might be an idea to update and run another scan sometime

For now though post the hijack log then ~
    Please run COMBOFIX

    Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be)

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download

MWB has found nothing so far, but Avira has found 3 detections. I'm not currently on the laptop and it's disconnected from the internet.

I just deleted the Internet Security (spyware) shortcut from the desktop, and tried to remove it from add/remove programmes but can't find anything related to it in there.

This infection came via wikipedia btw

I don't think the malware came from Wikipedia. Most likely you clicked on something that you needn't have.

Sorry, I made an edit to my original post.

I usually recommend running the Quick Scan, Removing Selected, re-booting and then running the Full Scan.

No they wouldn't. Quick Scan didn't pick up the one on my parents..

When you have got this all sorted you should install XP Service Pack 3 to be up to date with MS security updates.
Don't forget to post the HijackThis log.
