Infected Laptop

I've just recently had a warning flash up on my laptop that it's infected by spyware, and an Internet Security 2010 programme wants to install and activate on the laptop.
I'm running full scans of MWB and Avira, but I can't access system restore.
Any Ideas how to get rid of this programme ?

MalwareBytes is your best start, it should get most if not all of it - post the log here when the scan is complete, but make sure you updated it and selected 'full scan' and fix what it finds.0

Sounds like a pop up and not a virus. Did it only happen once?We all evolve - get on with it0

Well why MWB and Avira are running it is still making pop up's appear and trying to launch my internet access, it has taken down things like my screensaver, I now have a green screen only now, but still have the shortcuts to my programmes, I haven't tried to launch any yet.0

Have you done a MWB scan with the most up to date version? We all evolve - get on with it0

You shouldn't need access to the web for the scans to run - you could try turning off the wireless (or unplugging the network cable) to stop popups whilst they are running.Well why MWB and Avira are running it is still making pop up's appear and trying to launch my internet access, it has taken down things like my screensaver, I now have a green screen only now, but still have the shortcuts to my programmes, I haven't tried to launch any yet.0 -
Found nothing so far I assume?
Maybe it willWe all evolve - get on with it0 -
When the scans have completed, reboot and post the MWB log. Then download HijackThis, install, scan (30 seconds), don't fix anything - just post the log here.0

MWB has found nothing so far, but Avira has found 3 detections. I'm not currently on the laptop and it's disconnected from the internet.
I just deleted the Internet Security (spyware) shortcut from the desktop, and tried to remove it from add/remove programmes but can't find anything related to it in there.
This infection came via wikipedia btw0 -
Im just posting so I can view the logs when you post em up:idea:0
