Hi
Am looking to purchase for parents - they don't need anything too techy, just quality pic & sound. They currently receive their TV through standard Virgin Media Box.
I have the following options ranging in price from £315 - £429 and would appreciate your help.

There is no substitute for watching and listening to the TV in action in the store. We went out to buy a Sony LCD and came home to order a Samsung LED as they are just stunning! Have any of the TVs you are interested in been reviewed on Amazon?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

If you've got a richer sound by you go have a look there, they've a Samsung on offer for £250, plus the warranty is only 10% of the TV price. And as fire fox said, no substitute for having a look at the TV yourself. After reading a million sites and reviews I went off to richer sound to buy a 40" Samsung, only to find it looked god awful in the flesh (so to speak). Left with a 42" LG, much better spec, same price.Sigless0

If they are not techie, I would go to John Lewis as they do 5 year warranties with all their TVs, Richer Sounds do warranties but more a of chance of them going bust than John Lewis.0

I have bought from Richer sounds for years (used to have a tiny little shop on Headrow, Leeds) they have moved now to bigger premises but they still have the feel of a specialised retailer as opposed to the large sheds and department stores who try to be everything to everybody. Every company has a chance of going bust (the bigger they are the harder they fall) and not all extended warranties are covered by the actual store, some are covered by warranty insurance companies who are just as likely to go bust, I know because this happened to me, the warranty company went bust but the electrical store didn't (miller bros), That's why I now refuse to buy, at any cost, extended warranties. I will only have them from the likes of Costco as they are included in the price.

The JL ones are included in the price.0 -
Richer Sounds have been around for over 30 years now and have branches nationwide.
I went to buy a couple of Samsung LE32B450 for the parents and after looking and getting some sound advise from the staff ( not pushy at all ) chose the Toshiba Regza 32AV615 instead - saving me £60 ( before Xmas purchases).Damned if you do.....Damned if you don't !?!0 -
Yes, but its always "In Store" only for the best bargains0

Forgive me, I haven't checked out your TV links in your original post. I'm also about to buy a TV and have spent months researching them.
I'm also a member of Which? and they recommend very highly the Panasonic Viera range of TVs. They get top marks in just about every area and I've read literally hundreds of positive customer reviews. Amazon sell the 26" version for around £348 and the 32" version for around £378 with free delivery. Richer Sounds also sell it for about the same price, but only instore I believe.
Hope that helps.£2 coin savings = zero (I never get any £2 coins 'cos the rest of you are hogging them in your piggy banks!) :rotfl:0
