Ive not added any more to my Folksy shop as its not selling, I just dont think enough people know about Folksy or Etsy.

Sadly, I think this is true. I had never heard of either until very recently. I was told about Etsy by a friend who makes beaded necklaces, and I found out about Folksy on here. I have since spread the word about Folksy myself as I think it's a wonderful resource for both buyers and sellers, but no-one seems to have heard of it.

Must make an effort tomorrow morning -plumber coming (or might be Thursday)and he'll never find his way to radiators let alone fix them.................lol.
Must get more organised so things get done;)

Lol...its always nice to find out its not just me :D I've got one of those households theres always something to do or clear! Our bedroom is the worst as its seems to have become the dumping ground for everything at the bottom of the bed!!

I use Foklsy, only been on a month, but like you said newleaf not many people seem to know what I'm on about when I tell them where I have a shop! I keep thinking of trying Esty as well, is it good to use?

Ladies have you all thought about having a table at the local school spring or Christmas fayres?

We charge sellers just £10 a table at our school & hope to sell 3 tables this year besides our own stalls. having 'decent' stuff to buy is appealing to folk who aren't into white elephant or tombolas. maybe ask your schools as it may not have even crossed their minds.

Have just found this thread- I make a lot of jewellery but haven't had a chance to get it on Etsy for a while. I haven't been through the whole thread, but have seen a couple of pages with some really nice pieces on. Is there a list where people link their shops anywhere, or are the links in the thread and I need to search for them? :)

Welcome to the thread Jai. I think like JuJu has said a lot of people on this thread put their homepage links as their jewellery shops and blogs.

I'm a big fan of etsy, I've had a couple of shops on there though I think I'd have done better on there if the bulk of the custom wasn't from the US. I do love the concept of it though. I took the plunge at 11 last night and opened a folksy shop. I only listed 5 items but when I logged in this morning I'd sold a necklace so there may be hope yet...

My website is listed on my profile.

Whoever asked about events, yes I do a few, I am a regular at two that are organised by the local church, one in July (which is out doors) and the other at Christmas in a school.

The one I have next month is not actually a craft fair, it's a Flight Simulator convention, I am there for the flight sim widows, and to entice the guys to buy the missus jewellery and earn brownie points, not sure how it's going to go, but it's a long way from home and 2 days worth, so that's one of the reasons for the overdrive in stock making, plus it's keeping my mind off things at the moment.

Hi guys its only me, I been looking at your things (blogs) Nicki , that vintage jewellery is stunning.

Kanpi Pandi, I dont know how you have the patience to do all those loops, I`ve done a couple and my hands start hurting

I made the bracelet and Earrings to match my nautical necklace so now I need a cruise

Ive blogged it and other things I been doing

Travelodge also released their cheap rooms for autumn , so I booked a room and I`m going to the xmas craftfair..just need some tickets now...

I`m hoping to do some craft fairs but nearer to xmas time, just in our local church, dont know whats going to be on my stall mind...
