I've just posted my first tutorial in my blog. It's about how to do wire wrapping. I'd be grateful for any constructive criticism. I know some of the photo's are a little.......pants..... but I will get around to changing them. :D

    Great tutorial Sue!

That's a great tutorial, I can never seem to grasp wire wrapping and I will try again using that.

OMG, I have just discovered this morning there has been the most wonderful bead shop in my local town and it has been there for nearly 2 years :O
They also have a site on ebay and I never knew :(

Not just beads but also everything to make jewellery.

They do a jewellery workshop too (very reasonable price) so me and my daughter are going on evening.

The beads are beautiful and the guy in the shop told me finds them all around the world and will try and get any thing if he didnt have it (and from what I saw in the shop and on ebay I doubt he has missed anything lol).

If anyone is in or around Belper in Derbyshire pop in and look or the ebay site is ''Clares Beautiful Beads''

Im gob smacked I didnt see the shop sooner perhaps it will teach me not to stick to just the big shop area lol.
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

Jewellery making is on my list of things to do this year!! I've been looking at books on Amazon, can anyone recommend something suitable for a beginner?

    Thanks :D
  • What gorgeous creations!
Sue your blog is fab and your tutorial looks really good, I must try that.
I made my first bracelet last night, red, black and white crystals, I was so pleased with how it turned out, I'm hoping to make a few more for family and friends.

I really must get to grips with making something like this. I[ve just had a nose through my bead stash and am ashamed to say I could probably start a shop with the amount I have - I was give a Bag for Life FULL of beads from a kind Freecycler last leay and a friend of mine saves the broken jewellery or bits she knows they won't shift for me from that Charlity shop she runs (in exchange for home made bread pud / Twinks or banana bread whem I've got them on the go)

I'll have another peek at SueB's blog but where did you learn to make them Poppy? I'm the kind of person who if I'm watching someone can pick something up in seconds and it stays up there forever. But I find it nearly impossible to learn out craft stuff out of books - my brains just not 'wired' that way, lol
