I've just started making bracelets but I'm very much a beginner. I love beads and have to ban myself from ebay or else I'd spend my wages on beads. :) I made my mum (and myself!) a pandora style bracelet for xmas which went down well. I'd love to try more jewellry styles but can so far only manage either pandora style or 1 line of beads. Can't wait to start picking some of your brains!

Hi, I would love to make a pandora style bracelet, can you give me any ideas on best places to buy the beads and bracelets please.

doesn't look like there is much interest in this so far which is a shame as I would love to know where to get beads from at a good price and quality.

Hi, my daughter made some memory wire bracelets for her school friends, I got the beads and other bits off ebay but have now started looking in charity shops and finding lots of old necklaces I can pull apart to use also they sometimes have unusual beads that dont cost the earth.

I tend to look at everything as another use, duvet covers for patchwork quilts, old jewellery for making new jewellery and baskets to line even clothes to alter.

I just love charity shops, freecycle and ebay :D

I hoped there would be more intrest too, but its early days, i use sanctuary beads, craft intrernational , and bulk buy the crystals from hong kong when i have big orders. Car boot sales would be good for unusual beads too and i use whatever coem to hand, its amazing what you can make into jewelllery

  • I have, this week started making jewellery.

I bought a starter kit from Beads Direct. Together with some extra beads and other bits and pieces, I have made 2 sets of earrings and necklaces, two mobile phone charms and 3 handbag clip charms.

I have just ordered some more beads from Beads Unlimited.

I will be wearing my creations when I go to my local mums and tots groups with my little one......Hopefully I will get some orders.

There are a few friends birthdays coming up.....my jewellry will make an ideal pressie.

    More on my blog.

I like PJ Beads and Jilly Beads for supplies. Both are fast and have great customer service.

    Defo agree with this one.

Wear the jewellery you make to advertise it.

I wore one of my mw bracelets and a girl a work would not believe I had made it!

    Morning all.
I've been jewellery making for the last couple of years. For about 6 months last year I had a gemstone stall on Greenwich market in London where I made jewellery while you wait.
I've just started a blog where I'm putting photo's up of the things I'm making

If I can help anyone I'll certainly try :D
