good luck with the party, I would be too nervous lol. And good luck with the folksy shop, make sure you link your blog to your shop if you haven't already lol.
I really want to get some sterling silver supplies but am just too skint at the mo lol, and I also want a fimo rolling machine so I can make roud beads with my fimo.
Do you mean a fimo bead roller? I watched a vid from Crafts Beautiful where Corinne used one and I thought it looked good until I asked in my local craft shop - now closed down sob...sob... and the lady said they weren`t that good. So it kinda put me off.....
Ive made some millefiori canes before which is good fun. Especially when you slice into the cane to create your flat beads.
I`d like to try a few cupcakes and dolly mixtures beads too with the fimo.

I just had a peek at your folksy shop. I think you're too cheap lol. Your bracelets have many more beads than my berry berry one and someone commented this afternoon that mine was too cheap, and it' more expensive than yours lol.
Are you pricing up with an hourly rate?0 -
yeah I do mean a fimo bead roller. Oh perhaps I wont then, I dunno. I have made a cane once, but haven't got a pasta machine either so I was hand rolling. I made some lovely turquoise beads with my cane, messing around with them.0

O sorry yukki didn`t mean to put you off - just didn`t want you to waste any money.
I hand rolled my canes too. I started off doing the orange segments then figured how to progress from that. I need a proper cutter tho as I was using a sharp knife eek!
I need to get a white tile to work on to as apparently this keeps the fimo nice and clean.

You really think so yukki??
I just price them at what I think is reasonable really not sure where I get the prices from lol!
My MIL and SIL said they thought I could charge more as they know a woman who does a craft stall and charges a bomb and sells loads.

Well when you buy your beads etc, work out the price per bead, and then when you have made the item, add up the amount of beads etc and the cost of them.
People always told me it's easy to lower your prices when you want to have a sale but if you start off too low then you price yourself out of the market and it's difficult to increase your prices.
I think some of mine are quite cheap but I am following my pricing formula so am happy for now. When the time comes and I add in gift boxes etc then I may have to rethink.0 -
I love rolling canes and playing with fimo but as you use so much to start with I worry I'll waste money if it goes wrong and turns out a smudgy brown colour lol.
I need a slicing knife too. Lord you could spend a fortune couldn't you.0 -
I have a bead cost spreadsheet on my comp, so I really should follow that you are right.
My prices include my gift wrap as well - tissue, box, ribbon and tag.

Absolutely and I could kick myself as a while back I sold a bulk lot of fimo and cutters on ebay cos I wasn`t using them.
For my roses I`m just going to make them in the colours supplied rather than mixing to begin with.
