My daughter got 2 ds lites for xmas, Both bought from argos, have the the reciepts for one, However upon looking at the reciepts it says "item excluded from the 30 day refund policy unless faulty"
She doesn't need 2, I know theres no way i'll get the cash back due to this, however if i explained do you think I be able to get a store voucher ? so she could get something else

It's possible, all you can do is try. You don't have a legal right to a refund but if the box is unopened they might well give you vouchers as a good gesture.0

If you try to take them back, will you please udate the thread to let us know if you were successful?
I'm in a similar situation but with a gaming chair...also excluded for the 30 day refund thing.Herman - MP for all!0 -

No legal right to a refund - whether it's cash or store credit. All you can do is ask nicely. Good luck.0 -
Just phoned the store, there not willing to budge. Unless it's faulty there not willing to do anything0

Argos are crap like that, rarely get anywhere with them.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member No.11.

Surely that is unfair when the terms and conditions are very clearly outlined ? Also you are aware I assume that no shop has to refund or exchange anything at all unless it is faultyI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My point was that if Argos don't HAVE to do something they won't. Some places are very good and will do their utmost to keep a customer happy. Other places stick rigidly to the rules and sod the consequences for the customer.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member No.11.

In my experience Argos have given refunds for things exempt from the 30 day money back guarantee when the item was unused and/or still shrink wrapped. Although Argos don't have to give a refund I personally think they should when it's clear that the item is unused since the point of the exemption is to stop customers getting items with other customer's files on it.0
