Drive blocked for a week!
Last Saturday a car appeared in front of my house, parked horizontally across our drive and that of my neighbours, completely blocking access to both our parking spaces. That night we had had very bad snow so I thought maybe the just couldn't move from there but one week later and it's still there!
My neighbour has asked around the closest houses but noone knows whos it is. There is nowhere else for us to park so we have to walk a long way to the car which is not practical with two under fives!
Is there anywhere that I can find out the registered address from the registration number so that I can get them to move it? If not, where do I report this to? The police? The council?
Thanks in advance!
Sarah

just tow it out of the way.It will move even if its handbrake is on.0

I thought it was illegal to park where you are blocking driveways with a dropped kerb and so suggest you contact the police. Please correct me if I am wrong though.
Does the car have tax?0 -
Yes, its taxed and everything, its a new car, 09 reg. No one has been back to it at all, all week. Makes you wonder why people buy a car in the first place!2022 wins: PS5 bundle, SSD drive, luxury truffles

as for it blocking your drive i would just tow it until it wasnt0 -
If you have a trolley jack, lift the back of the car up and get a few mates to push it out of the way.0

I wouldn't touch it myself, get the police to deal, then there is no comeback on you if the owners say it is damaged.Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Strewth, this why people dump their cars without thought for anyone else because people just take it.
As in another thread get a mate round with a decent car, preferably proper 4x4, drag the thing out the way and resume your life.0 -
I'd just torch it personally.0

Don't contact the police yet.
Move the car to a place where it's not blocking your drive first."One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0
