I know it was not directed at me but the company is a great company with good customer service, never had a problem though i do feel sorry for the OP. By the way i do not work for them...
  • You should have complained at the time. Its too late after you have returned the car and flew home.In a hurry is no excuse. You also had 1 full week to phone the company with your complaint and then also when you dropped keys off.

Companies treat these complaints as someone trying to blag some compensation.

If you have a problem, complain immediately, then the company has a chance to do something about it.
Regarding the Fusion, getting a Focus would be considered an UPGRADE- its a bigger car!

Ive only used carjet at Murcia airport-no complaints.

Like most large popular organisations, even if they get it right 99.5% of the time, the other 0.5% may amount to enough people to give an (distorted) impression that they are no good.
  • Used Carjet out of Gerona in the summer and it was fine, good service and good car.
Am using them again in October out of Malaga. After reading the above does anyone know whether it will be through crown or Europa? Looked through my paperwork and can't see. Thanks
  • I was not looking for any recourse and was merely flagging up the issue around car seats and the condition of the car for all on this forum. The upgrade to the Focus was not an issue, however no water in the washers and no handbook in the car was a concern. I sent a mail off to Carjet outlining these issues on my return and got no acknowledgement. This I believe is poor customer service. Not interested in following up further. Going to Malaga again this weekend and have voted with my feet and will be using someone elses car hire. Finally, as you rightly say companies don't get it right every time, however when they screw up they should at least reply to an issue and not bury their head in the sand!
  • Write a proper letter with your concerns. With 100 zillion emails zooming around the internet,I reckon half of them get lost, end up in spam folder or are ignored.
I too would have been pee,d off if my car was dirty etc so a complaint is justified, its just easier to do it at the time.

I've been a Carjet regular for many years and have previously found them to always be the best value at the airports we use - Alicante and Murcia.

However, just recently, their prices seem to have drifted upwards. That is certainly true for hires from most of their suppliers. The exception seems to be Iberocar - which looks as if it might even be an associated company.

I am now finding that Argus is regularly undercutting them and I would suggest Carjet users check prices carefully before booking.

IONAPENNY - the car hire supplier should be shown in the top right-hand corner of your booking voucher.

As I need an Estate car in 2 wks @ Murcia airport for 7 days
    I found the following.

    Carjet £102.33
Argus £109.90 (although I can get £7.50 back via quidco)
    HOWEVER the winner is .....

    AMIGOAUTOS £98.44 usuall stuff included

Not even at the races plumb1.for my particular hire at Murcia .They would need to drop their prices by 25% to pricematch
