MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com:hello:0 -
even though saturday is boxing day its not a bank holiday thats why we have monday as bank holiday
I think the biggest hole in this argument is that according to many local council facilities, it IS being treated as a bank holiday (libraries closed, local sports centres closed etc.) One rule for them, another for us.0 -

If people park illegally they deserve to be punished
Not very mse, but people shouldn't do it
Providing the relative councils have got all the legalities right themselves. It should not be so difficult, they even have pictures of how to paint lines and a template of the pcn/nto, yet they still manage to get them wrong a lot of the time. Most of them are a bunch of numpties. The worst of it is that they know they have done it incorrectly, they know the tickets are wrong but they persist in fining people even when they have been proved to be in the wrong.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
In a decriminalised enforcement area 'park illegally' is nonsense.0
