    Sorry :o

Slapped cheek syndrome is a common childhood viral infection. However, it can affect people of all ages. The most common symptom of slapped cheek syndrome is the appearance of a bright red rash on both cheeks (hence the name). Slapped cheek syndrome is cause by a virus called parvovirus B19.
Slapped cheek syndrome is also sometimes known as:

OMG!!! It really does pay to do last minute research before buying from ebay!

Last week I was using a site that finds miss spelt items on ebay and found a kit for sale that I have wanted for ages but when googling/yahooing I couldn't find it for sale anywhere online in the UK (could have got it from USA but postage was silly)

I found a few blogs that show people have stitched it but couldn't find it to buy so when I told hubby about it and he said to bid on it and get it for xmas.
It finishes on ebay early tomorrow morning so I was going to set my alarm tonight and get up and bid on it.
I thought I'd do one more search on yahoo and lo and behold amongst all the hits I have seen previously there were 2 new ones that stood out.

One was a link to a site called picasa where someone had posted the chart as a download :j and the second one sent me to US ebay. I looked at the US ebay just to see the price and I noticed the kit was by a different maker and was called something totally different......

All week I have been googling/yahooing for a kit called Diamond Avenue by Bucilla.....on US ebay it was called Golden Gate Avenue and was by Janlynn..

This is the kit http://www.thehappycross-stitcher.com/product.php?xProd=8402 I don't know why I love it so much, I just do! :rotfl:

Upon googling the new name and maker I can buy it in the UK :j:j

Is it silly that I am so relieved and excited that I could cry? :o

I was willing to bid up to £40 to get the kit, well over what I can get it for brand new (only because hubby didn't set a limit :D )

Now I'm off to figure out the best price I can get the kit for! I quickly priced up buying threads and fabric seperately but the threads alone were nearly £20 from acrosstown.
Though I just might still bid on the ebay kit and see if I can get it cheaper than brand new.

Phew....that turned out to be a long post :D

My Mum did that kit a few years ago, it's hanging on her wall. If you give me a couple of days I'll see if she still has the chart.
