MRSM - Do the orange one!!! (You know you want to lol)

It looks like it can be completed quicker than the second design, which means you can get on to the second one quicker iyswim ;)

And there's the fact I'm wanting to see it's progress lol:D

I have two other big designs lined up for when I complete my Lake piccy, I used money my MIL gave me for Xmas to treat myself to the Lighthouse of dreams chart from Mystic Stitch, and have 'Touched by magic' from Heaven and Earth all ready to go as well

I think the top one might win as I have had it for quite a while and I do Love it sooooooooo much...
I have a few xmas designs I want to do too -but I think they may have to wait :o
oh and I have 3 more out of the 6 celtic ladies I have to do too!!!!
Right-off to see how I get on with "forest light" -fingers crossed everyone :rotfl:

I absolutely LOVE the 2nd one and I'm VERY tempted to make this my 1st HAED project but before I hit that buy button can anyone tell me if there is much difference between the small and large charts? I'm usually pretty good with charts anyway so I'm wondering if I should just go ahead and get the small one. Is HAED charts done in just colours or are there symbols as well?
MRSM, you are a very naughty girl showing me this!!:rotfl:

Hello everyone - may I join you?

I've been cross stitching for more years than I care to remember :) Mostly pictures and cards, though a couple of years ago I completed my biggest project ever and made an afghan for my niece (and it took me the whole 9 months of the pregnancy to do it too!)

I have 2 projects which I would need to finish before I took on anything else - the first one is this, which I bought for making for my daughters nursery and she is now 3 months old and I haven't even started it yet :ohttp://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=60433&ww=on&do=search_results

The other one I need to finish was bought and started early last year, and I'm not even sure exactly where it is just now! http://www.sewandso.co.uk/cgi-bin/find/db.cgi?db=zoom&uid=&Prod_Code=56338&ww=on&do=search_results

Nice to meet you all :)

    Hi Poppet..

Im sorry for encouraging you to buy more charts :rotfl:
The Heaven and earth one Im doing at the moment is a "small print" -but to me its just like most other charts I have had... I did a couple of tiger designs ages ago and the symbols were bigger but I didn't like it (so I assumed that the big print HAE would be like that)
The charts are black and white too -another thing I prefer -I HATE coloured charts (especially as I work from photo copies ;))
I have to keep away from the sew along site as they have sooooooo many HAE charts I am drooling over :p

Oh -and here is one of the xmas ones I have to do :D -but I got mine on a UK site ;)

MRSMC, I also prefer b/w charts because I find colour charts very similar with the colours and when you're truying to stitch in the evening it makes it hard work. I do have a daylight bulb somewhere but will have to hunt it out as I am actually working with a colour chart now. Rightyho, I am off to order the normal print chart before hubby comes home and catches me spending more on stash!!!!! You're right about one thing, there are sooooo many lovely HAED charts to pour over....I had to decide between that one or my bithstone colour one (Aquamarine) but the ruby will go nicely in my bedroom. Thank you for the link.

    Hi Squishy and welcome.

Great to see you, I've missed you on the Parent thread. Hope Ellie and you are both well.

Maybe we can spur each other on, I am still trying to finish the set of 3 animals for my friends little lad, though I'm on the last one. Then I can start the Humphreys Corner ones I've got for Kezias room. Though she is still in with me for the moment but I'd like to get them done for her.

Love the Winnie the Pooh sampler you have for Ellies room so why not set some time aside this week whilst she is asleep to do a bit.

Wow this board has been busy these last couple of days.

I've not got much stitching done, I never do during the working week but I'll update on Santa after the weekend.

MrsM I particually love the 2nd of your 2 designs, though both are lovely.

I'm on my first really big project at the moment but I'm finding that I actually really like knowing that there is a decent amount still to do. With smaller projects I get to a point where I can see the end then distract myself with wondering what I'll do next. I think I'll probably do another big one next, though I've learned my lesson about stitch a photo with all their little '1 here and 1 there' colours. I like to be able to use up a 1m thread without too many jumps!

I'm another one who works from photocopies and therefore prefers black and white charts. THou magazines are mostly ok because there are symbols too and the colours are mostly pale so don't tend to come through on the photocopy.

The cat that someone is doing from ebay looks lovely, and with no half or back stitch it looks like a dream project!

    Evenin' all

Have settled down to my Friday night stitching party - is the only night I guarantee I won't do any school work. Sometimes go to art fellowship at local church and stitch, they bring round cuppas and biscuits and they have the most fantastic lighting, or go and meet up with friends for our 'stitch and b-i-t-c-h' or sometimes sit at home with a nice fat glass of wine and put music tv on!

Have got loads of 'projects' on but am being very good and trying to do them in gift order - curently working on a child's kit - a tortoise - don't know if link will work. Is going pretty quick cos it is designed for a child to do (suits me fine lol)
