Itunes 9.0.2 wont install!

Itunes and Quicktime download fine from the itunes site and starts to install, but then gets to "publishing product information" and seems to freeze.

there is a thread here - http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=1375169 where the person seems to be having the same problems as you, if you check to see if your windows updates have updated properly that might solve the problem.

there is also this thread - http://en.kioskea.net/forum/affich-40498-itunes-8-problem which seems to have a few more solutions, even though it's for iTunes 8 it's probably still valid for 9.

Try installing QuickTime on its own first, and then iTunes.

I tried that last night as well!

I tried installing Vista Service Pack 1, thinking that might help but my laptop wouldnt even turn on after it!

So my mum had to restart my whole laptop, as if i just got it brand new!
Eventually i downloaded itunes, but all my music is gone
