Yes it is Christmas eve and the Wii remote has hit the TV (lcd) and smashed it.
I have accidental damage with More Than......will this be covered?
The remote left the hand as they were not wearing the strap.
Thanks

It should be covered if you have a/d cover, give them a ring and get it reported.
If you went with them this year with the "Free" contents cover, they will start charging you at renewal for contents as it's free subject to you not claiming so you will notice a big jump in premium. You can however shop around of course0 -
Lol, that will teach you for ignoring the many, many warnings both on the instruction leaflet and when the WII turns on to use the strap!0

It is sensible to use the strap, I ensist that friends do as some havn't played wii much and it has saved my property. However, I myself rarely use it!0

From how I understand it they tell you how much you could spend on a new for old basis and you can go to the shops then send the the receipt and pay you back minus any excess or they tell you then new for old equivelent and you can pay them your excess and they will arrange delivery (usually thru a catalogue or distant selling company).
Have you actually spoken to More Than yet about the claim?
There was an article in the papers that some insurers wont pay out for damage while playing on a wii keep us informed as I would like to know either way!I like to think I can help but its for discussion purposes only so if I get it wrong please feel free to correct me.0 -
its accidental so should be covered if you have the a/c on your policySealed pot challenger # 10

Have taken the strap off as DD1 managed to whip DD2 in the eye with it and the odds of them always putting it on properly approximate to zero....About to check whether I opted for AD cover on the contents this time.I think....0

Accidental Damage to your tv is covered on the More Than policy whether you have opted in to full accidental damage cover or not0
-
Not open until Tuesday......have taken a look through the policy and the exclusions and no mention of a Wii exclusion.0
-
That's why the Wii instructs you to wear the strap!
I would not tell the insurers - as you were not using the equipment in the proper manner they may try to wangle out of paying as the damage was thrugh negligence and not accidental.C. (Ex-Pat Brit)
