It is possible although I think the price is a lot higher than normal. Could you ask a local recovery firm for a quote?
Look at the article in case there are other providers listed that you could approach for help.

Finally, some supermarkets offer a free breakdown service if you break down in their car park.0 -
Thanks for that

Tesco is shut now for the Chrimbo
Will have to leave it till Saturday0 -
They're charge you a lot for it. I have heard about people leaving their car somewhere, joining, and then a few days later having a breakdown.Happy chappy0

You normally cannot use the service for the first 24 hours,
So join online tonight (Dont forget quidco) - Then it will be 24 hours by the time Tesco Reopen and you can get your car and the cover will be in place.Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0 -
I dont want to insure my car, can i wait till i have an accident, then insure?0

Most supermarkets have a contract with a breakdown agent - try asking customer services. You may well get a free callout.0

i think its fraud if you join knowing there something wrong so i think youd have to call them to find outReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0

You can join the AA at the side of the road but you will pay top price for the membership.
I would see if you can use the supermarket's offer of a free breakdown assistance if they still do it?

I am sure that you are MSE but do you have a bank account which gives you AA cover?'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.

If you, or any fried will have such account you can call the bank to check. My barclays states that I am covered for breakdowns when I am traveling in any car (except the hire cars); but for exampe if I travel in a friend car, and the car breaks down, I can call and the vehicle will be recovered. I am alowed 5 call outs/year and once I just helped my friend out of a situation exacly like yours-- I drove to the supermarket, parked my car there, call the breakdown cover in my name(but my friend car)-- all sorted.0
