My o/h used Love@Lycos and met quite a few people through there and his brother uses Match.Com.

    Good luck!

When my ex and I first split up, I joined match. It seemed from the women I did meet that there's a huge difference between numbers of men vs women. As a man, you never seemed to get any responses from the ladies but thats because the ladies seemed to get literally swamped by messages from men.

Some of the mails apparently are quite bizarre and some men were obvious players after a quickie.

That said, use your common sense, have a great time and enjoy the attention.

    Hi LLH189

I am single, and have been for a number of years (and only 25, waaaaaaah!!), and have dated quite a few men since I've been living in London and despite none of them having worked out, I've still had fun along the way & met some nice people!!

If you're in London, www.thegumtree.com - otherwise I have tried www.datingdirect.com & www.mysinglefriend.co.uk - is meant to be pretty good!!

Even if you just have a few nice evenings out to boost your confidence, thats a start!! Just go with your gut instinct. I always talk to them on the phone before meeting to guage whether we get on, but I've only had two not-so-good-dates, but they havent been awful, just a story to tell the friends  (and they love laughing at my expense!!) ;)

I have given up on the dating front as I go travelling in Aug (see signature). Whoo!!

Being single does get you down, but its better than being in a wrong relationship surely?

Best of luck, let us know how you get on.

    xx
