Anyone with Metronet had their speed upgraded yet?

Hi,

We're currently with Metronet. A few months ago (Christmas?) we were looking to move providers, as the speed from Metronet seems to have got worse and worse - we are only on 0.5MB (signed up ages ago before higher speeds were so common) but that is fine for us really, except we're not even getting that.

Anyway, just as we were about to move, Metronet were taken over by PlusNet, and we got an email saying we would all have our speed upgraded for free. Excellent we thought, we'll wait then.

But since then, nothing. We had another email this week, saying the speed upgrades were starting, but not everyone would be done at once. TBH we are fed up with waiting, so question is has anyone else with Metronet actually been upgraded? And does anyone know anything more about their schedule for doing so?

Trying to decide whether we should just make the move. Thanks.

i'm with metronet.

had a few problems when they were changing over to plusnet

but @£13 75 per month for 1 meg its not too bad.

i don't do a lot of downloading.

i never received the mail about the upgrade although i did know about it.

maybe you could ask on the metronet forums.

Thanks for replying. The main reason we want to upgrade is that we're not actually getting the 0.5MB we're paying for and had hoped that the speed increases - if they ever happen! - would resolve that.
