My tip is to use Triamcinolone Acetonide in oral paste, which is sometimes known as Adcortyl or Kenalog, and more information can be found at this useful blog: Canker Sore Solutions

Adcortyl in orabase is no longer available in the uk or eu. I believe it was deemed uneconomic to Market here.0

Yeah but you can order the equivalent medicine "Kenalog in Orabase" from Canada or New Zealand there are details on that blog. It takes a while obviously and there is postage costs but I think it is worth it if you really want this medicine.:j0

ambesol liqid or salt! Personally I think salt is brilliant for this or sore throats!0

How about Difflam Oral Spray, either OTC or on prescription- no harmful effects and very easy to apply as it's a spray with along nozzle
HTH0 -
I got a free trial of these cotton buds filled with a liquid, you snap it off and apply it straight to the ulcer. It basically burns the skin away! Hurts like hell, but if you do it at night its gone in the morning. I looked for it in boots and it was £5/6 for only a few buds.
Ohh and my boyfriend put bongela in his mouth the other night, and he smelt like he'd eaten a kipper or tuna or some other kinda fish. It was gross!!0 -
I like corsodyl gel or the mouthwash. Also iglu is good at sticking to the ulcers but it's pretty damn expensive.0

I tried that Iglu paste- man! Its almost as hard as Bonjela to apply- the stuff just sticks to my finer/cotton woll bud and just seems to roll straight off the ulcer- I did manage to get a ball of the stuff together and trap it on my teeth, smash it flat with the inside of my face and then peel off and cover over the ulcer- very messy and not sure if it really helped!
I think they seriously need to develop a spray on type of ulcer treatment!
In the end my ulcers did go away btw! Not before spreading to the entire lower front of my teeth! I cannot really say anything helped but sleeping more. Think I was probably lacking sleep/stressed and the ulcers ran their course. Wish I could suggest a product that was easy to apply and worked!0 -

I tried those bonjela "once" things a while ago and was too scared (and too poor : £9!!) to try again as I was in agony for over an hour (yes really!- I think the liquid was very strong and there was a cut which every time I moved my mouth rewoke the cut and bonjela...) that ulcer still took a week to go but did go and faded over that week. Would recommend this to anyone who is rich and very brave.0
