Tesco mobile "unlimited"
Hi,
I've been considering the Tesco mobile "unlimited" package for £30/month (SIM only, 1 month rolling contract). As I understand it, it has a fair usage limit of £500 which can be spent in any eligible form from the standard tariff. So this would give you 2500 minutes or 5000 minutes to one of your 5 favourite numbers - plus a similar amount of texts.
However, I want to be able to use mobile internet - not huge amounts, but enough to keep me connected. The only figure I can find from the website says that they charge £4/MB - meaning that the £500 fair usage amount would be eaten up with just 125MB of data, not leaving any left over for calls/texts. So it's not sounding like such a good offer now...
Have I understood this correctly? What are other people's experiences of this package?

Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning

Cant tell from their web site - phone and ask.
But seeing as its tesco hooking up with O2 to give you that deal - why not try going direct to O2.
You can get
Online simplicity 20 SIM Only
Pay Monthly contract (30 day rolling)
1200 texts / 600 mins
Includes Unlimited Web Bolt On
with O2 for £19.58 (prob £20 from January with tat change).0 -
That might be a better deal actually... I've been using loads of minutes recently as my girlfriend has been away for a couple of months, but she's back soon so 600 minutes will probably be plenty after that.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

They also do a deal which is a 12 month sim-only contract. 800 min, 1600 sms and unlimited internet. Is also £20/month, but most of the time you can get £100 cashback via quidco etc, making it £11.67.0
