Been into chesterfield today and noticed the following:

Tesco value chicken fillets on pack priced at £5.94 a kg on SEL it's £5.95. It's only a penny but try it!

The pack price should be higher than the SEL .

    Success and failure today!

Got Fresh British Beef Thin Beefsteak, all packs worked out at £7.77 per kg, SEL said £6.78 per kg (or something like that).

R&R of £4.18 on this without CS even going to check (they know their meat is wrong!).

BUT also tried to get bananas - as previously posted. Felt sure, three SELS at 64p per kg, scanned at 85p per kg. Running out of time, couldn't go straight to CS. Had to go & collect DS from a party before dropping off my Mum's shopping to her then going back to Mr T's for the R&Rs.................lo and behold, in the intervening 2 hours someone on fruit had rearranged the display, moved the shelves round and removed all the SELS. Friendly male CS said it's not one he was aware of.

As it was only 88p and I was clutching £4.18 cash, I left it.....but may pop into another branch tomorrow with today's receipt, get more bananas if poss, & seek R&R on both lots there. :D

I haven't had an R&R for ages thanks to a switched on meat department that puts yellow stickers over all wrongly priced meat on 'price change' day.

However, yesterday FIRST magazine, SEL 60p (offer) charged cover price of £1.20 - R&R no problems for once!
Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!

    Thanks for noticing my mistake.

I'd put it the wrong way round!

Yes, the ones without the TMF sticker will scan at the correct price. Although they appear to be the same thing, if you study the boxes you will see they are actually two different products (check the number of washes), but because the weight/box size is the same, they are just plonked on the shelf with the old stuff, hence the misprice.

Tried to get another box of Ecover last night, OH was with me, and I'd explained what I was doing. But when we got to check out he asked the girl to confirm the price! She said it had scanned at the higher price, but because we hadn't paid yet no R&R! I've now explained we have to pay and then go to CS.
But we did buy some profiteroles and a gateaux which were both marked Any 2 for £3. Profiteroles on the shelf above the gateux. There was a sign saying "Any 2 party range for £3". When I checked the receipt on the way home no multibuy saving. Went back this morning, and after a huge discussion got the R&R. They said the profiteroles were in the party range 2 for £3 and the gateaux were a different offer. We eventually argued, once the duty manager was called, that the labelling wasn't clear and it all appeared to be the same offer. Will have to check next time I go in!
