Calling UK mobiles in Foreign lands

Hi there,

I had a look around for this but couldn't find anything. I am going to France at the start of January with some friends. We did the same last year, and all took our mobiles. I came back to encounter a huge bill for receiving/calling/voicemail/texting etc when abroad. I will probably have to call my holiday friends when I'm there so is there any way to make it free/cheap from mobil to mobile (both mobiles being in France)?

Thanks

  • Get a local sim and then you get cheaper (local rate) calls unlikely you'll find a free solution

Yup, local sim is about the only option. If you try, just check all your phones are unlocked first..

Yes. It should work. SA uses the same bands 900/1800.
