HDNL - The WORST delivery service I have EVER received

Hi,

I am posting this because I have received the (or not as the case is) the worst delivery service possible from HDNL on behalf of Amazon.

HDNL - The WORST delivery service I have EVER received from what seems to be an incompetent company

1 – The package was due for delivery on Monday 21st and understandably this delivery was aborted due to the weather conditions. However as a note royal mail delivered the second package which was ordered at the same time from Amazon on Monday 21st am.

2 – I spoke to the HDNL customer services who guaranteed delivery on Tuesday 22nd.

3 – I called HDNL on Tuesday 22nd am to make sure the package would be delivered and once again I was guaranteed the package would be delivered by the end of the day.

4 – When no package had arrived by 18:00 on Tuesday I called customer services once again to be told the depot involved had forgotten to put my package on the delivery lorry and would now only be able to deliver on Wednesday 23rd.

5 – It is now Wednesday 23rd and I have discovered this morning that not only is my package not going to be delivered today but HDNL have actually forgot to mention that they have lost my package and only following 4 phone calls have they told me that yes they have now located my package but once again will not be delivering until tomorrow. During finding this information out I have had to call a total of 11 times and have had the phone put down on me 4 times by HDNL!!!!! (I think it’s what HDNL call customer service)

The question I am left asking is will this package ever arrive or will it always be tomorrow from HDNL.

The only positive is that Amazon have reissued my items for express delivery and Amazons direct customer service has been impeccable.

Finally why am I surprised that HDNL’s website will not allow me to leave negative feedback!!!!!!

    That's great news.

    I am expecting a delivery from Amazon via HDNL tomorrow. Online it said the package has been loaded onto the delivery van at 10am this morning (a whole day early).

    I've been sat indoors all day waiting for it but nothing yet, wonder what time they deliver to? have to pop out soon.

    One of their drivers banged like a nutter on my antique stained glass window instead of using the doorbell or knocker, I felt like banging on his forehead :mad:

    I think you are being a bit harsh we are having pretty bad weather and they have to negotiate back roads etc. If it's really important why wait till the last minute to order it?

    All delivery companies have had issues this week due to the weather. The key thing that needs to be got right at these times is Customer Service. Most customers are fine as long as you keep them informed and don't lie to them (which happens much too often).

    I would urge anyone in this sort of situation to deal solely with the retailer, NOT the courier. This will ensure that:

    1) The retailer has to deal with the poor customer service;

    2) The retailer will get a better 'feel' for the level of the problem;

    3) You don't get so stressed having to make loads of pointless phone calls;
  • I waited in all day yesterday for an HDNL Delivery after receiving a text telling me my order from office would be delivered; nothing turned up!

    Spoke to them last night and was promised would be delivered today; also received a text today saying it will be here between 2.30 and 5.30; my son waited in and nowt turned up.

    I telephoned them at 5.50pm and was assured it would be with me tonight by 8pm; guess what?!! NOWT!!!

    Rang CS and no-one there! HUGE TUT!!!

    I am not a big fan of HDNL, but they are usually better than City Link in my experience. I guess it's down to what we each experience with couriers.
    Hoping this year is better than the last. :)
